Many of the accidents occuring on the road today are caused by driving too
close to the vehicle in front. The advisory distance meter is designed to
assist drivers to maintain their correct distance.
The advisory distance meter calculates the distance between vehicles by
knowing the vehicle speeds and measuring the difference in time between the two
vehicles passing the same point.
There are two modes of operation, Mode 1 and Mode 2. You may use either
mode depending on personal preference. See operating instructions for further
details on the two modes.
The unit is powered by an internal PP3 battery. Automatic power down when
not in use provides maximum battery life. The battery, lamps and tones can all
be checked by setting the mode switch to M2 and pressing the start switch.

Refer to Figure 1.
1. Set mode switch to preferred mode Ml or M2, (See below).
2, Set speed slider to speed of vehicle.

switch when vehicle in front passes easily identifiable marker. This marker can
be any bridge, traffic sign, tree, lamp-post etc,
b) Press
start/stop switch again when own vehicle passes the same marker.

to the green light and a low pitched tone.

behind the vehicle in front.

The distance between your
vehicles is marginal.
c) Green lamp and low pitched tone.
You are travelling at a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
